Given the political proclivities of the people running the federal government, this may sound hard to believe, but Marxism is dead. Incapable of producing a functioning economic system, it perished with the Soviet Union.
China tried Marxism under Mao: the result was tens of millions of corpses. So China changed course to a form of oligarchical collectivism closer to fascism than the radical egalitarianism Marx envisioned. Only Cuba and North Korea live on, as dysfunctional historical oddities steadily shambling toward their graves.
Marxism challenged the USA in the form of the USSR’s Red Army. But it lost the Cold War, unable to compete economically with freedom.
Now for the bad news. Marxism spawned an equally demented but far more destructive descendant, known popularly as political correctness, and to those familiar with its pedigree as Cultural Marxism.
Here’s how Wikipedia defines it:
Cultural Marxism refers to a school or offshoot of Marxism that conceives of culture as central to the legitimation of oppression, in addition to the economic factors that Karl Marx emphasized. An outgrowth of Western Marxism (especially Antonio Gramsci and the Frankfurt School) and finding popularity in the 1960s as cultural studies, Cultural Marxism argues that what appear as traditional cultural phenomena intrinsic to Western society, for instance the drive for individual acquisition associated with capitalism, nationalism, the nuclear family, gender roles, race and other forms of cultural identity are historically recent developments that help to justify and maintain hierarchy.
This hierarchy must be destroyed to make way for the two-tiered oligarchical collectivist system of the equal masses and their benevolent shepherds – i.e., the ruled and those who rule them.
According to Cultural Marxist ideology, any difference between people – between a man and a woman, a black and a white, a rich man and a poor man, a healthy person and someone who has succumbed to degeneracy and perversion – is simply an imaginary cultural construct, created by bad people to oppress good people.
Who is bad and who good? This is determined by the purpose of Cultural Marxism: to destroy traditional Western civilization, so that a utopia can be constructed in its place. Those who are associated with traditional America – whites, males, Christians, the middle class, anyone who is not in some way an outlier – stands in the way of this mission, and is therefore bad. Anyone who can be played off against the core of society is good.
Cultural Marxists will go to any extreme to eliminate the supposedly arbitrary differences between people, even declaring marriage between homosexuals to be the equivalent of holy matrimony. Differences in motivation and capability are papered over by Affirmative Action.
Farcically, even physiological differences between men and women are dismissed as imaginary, so that in California, boys may use the girls’ locker room if they declare they feel themselves to be female. Public safety is endangered by bizarre attempts to prove that females are as physically suited to be firefighters as men.
Marxism collapsed because it contradicted economic reality. Cultural Marxism will collapse because it contradicts the reality that people differ from each other.
But Cultural Marxism can afford to collapse. So long as it takes America down with it, the goal has been accomplished. That done, liberal masterminds will have no break on their power, and will be able to continue their social engineering experiments indefinitely until they finally make us into what they think we should be.
