You could have guessed what kind of people would be running the country today if you looked back to the lunacy preached on college campuses back when hippies roamed the earth. Indeed, many of those former campus hippies have changed places; they are still there, only now they are doing the teaching.
As such, if you want to know what the future holds, you have a look at what students are exposed to now. For example, Eastern Michigan University brought in animal rights activist Gary Yourofsky to lecture a Sociology 101 class:
“Is bestiality weird to you? Doing sexual things with animals? Because I used to think everybody thought so, but not even close, my meat, cheese, and egg-loving friends, because you engage in carnivorous bestiality on a daily basis,” he told the students.
“You pay somebody else to sexually molest a cow and squeeze their nipples for you? OK, you guys are f***ing obsessed with hen a***s and cow t**s,” he said to students, adding, “Once a year, every cow on every dairy farm is raped to impregnate her, a long steel device shoved in her vagina.”
If it were up to Yourofsky, Bessie the Cow wouldn’t be the only one to get raped.
In an interview in 2006, Yourofsky said that those who wore fur deserved to be brutally raped.
“Every woman ensconced in fur should endure a rape so vicious that it scars them forever,” he said. “While every man entrenched in fur should suffer an anal raping so horrific that they become disemboweled.”
Yourofsky is a Jew. Yet in his lecture he made light of the Holocaust by comparing it to everyday farming activities engaged in across the planet throughout human history:
“Imagine yourself confined in a concentration camp, on your way to a slaughterhouse, so someone could slice your throat and cut you up into pieces, you would understand why the psychotic addiction to meat, cheese, milk and eggs must be abolished,” he said.
In case the comparison was too subtle for students to grasp, Yourofsky clearly spelled out the equivalence:
“There is a holocaust taking place right now. It is the world’s largest and longest-running holocaust.”
Having moved past the demonization of “racists” that most students have internalized by now, Yourofsky denounces “speciesists” — i.e., those who think their species deserves to exist even at the price of “enslaving” other species.
The rhetoric is straight from an insane asylum. By eating meat like we were designed to do (what else are our incisors for?), students are “intentionally causing pain and suffering, and polluting [their] soul[s] with the blood of innocent animals.”
Yourofsky’s madness isn’t limited to demagoguery. He has been arrested 13 times for his anti-speciesist activities, which include releasing 1,500 minks into the wild. Five countries, including Canada and Britain, have banned him from entry as an international terrorist.
Today Yourofsky is on the cutting edge. In the 1970s, the Marxist terrorist Bill Ayers was cutting edge. Now Ayers is a prominent Professor of Education whose former protégé is the President of the United States.
For the timing being, only the Devil knows what protégés Yourofsky and his like are incubating. But we’ll find out a generation down the road. In the meantime, enjoy meat and cheese while you can.
